সিরাজগঞ্জ মহাসড়কে তীব্র যানজট
নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদকঃ বৃষ্টিতে নির্মাণাধীন ছয় লেন মহাসড়ক ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হওয়ায় সিরাজগঞ্জে ঢাকা-রাজশাহী রুটে তীব্র যানজট সৃষ্টি হয়েছে।
মঙ্গলবার (২৬ সেপ্টেম্বর) ভোর থেকে মহাসড়কের নলকা সেতু হাটিকুমরুল গোলচত্বর পর্যন্ত ৫ কিলোমিটার সড়কে এ যানজট সৃষ্টি হয়। যানজটের ফলে যানবাহন ঘণ্টার পর ঘণ্টা দাঁড়িয়ে থাকতে দেখা গেছে।
সিরাজগঞ্জ ট্রাফিক পুলিশের পরিদর্শক মোঃ জাফর উল্লাহ জানান, হাটিকুমরুল গোলচত্বরের পূর্বদিকে হানিফ হাইওয়ে রেষ্টুরেন্টের সামনে ভোর সাড়ে তিনটার দিকে বৃষ্টিতে গর্ত সৃষ্টি হয়। এ কারণে ধীরে ধীরে এ রুটে যানজটের সৃষ্টি হয়। খবর পেয়েই সেখানে আমি নিজে গিয়ে ঠিকাদারী প্রতিষ্ঠানকে বলে ইট-বালু ও খোয়া আনিয়ে কাজ শুরু করি। গর্তটি ভরাট হওয়ার পর রোলার মেশিন দিয়ে ফিনিশিং করা হয়। এখন ধীরে ধীরে যানজট কমে যাচ্ছে।
