৬ কোটি টাকার দুর্নীতিতে আসামি স্ত্রীসহ বিআরটিএর কর্মকর্তা
নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদকঃ সাড়ে তিন কোটি টাকা অবৈধ সম্পদ ও পৌনে তিন কোটি টাকার সম্পদের তথ্য গোপনের অভিযোগে বাংলাদেশ সড়ক পরিবহন কর্তৃপক্ষের (বিআরটিএ) সহকারী পরিচালক মো. আলতাব হোসেন ও তার স্ত্রীর বিরুদ্ধে পৃথক দুটি মামলা করেছে দুর্নীতি দমন কমিশন (দুদক)।
মঙ্গলবার (২৬ সেপ্টেম্বর) দুদকের ঢাকা সমন্বিত জেলা কার্যালয়-১ এ সংস্থাটির উপ-পরিচালক মো. আলমগীর হোসেন বাদী হয়ে মামলা দুটি দায়ের করেন। সংস্থাটির উপ-পরিচালক (জনসংযোগ) মুহাম্মদ আরিফ সাদেক বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
প্রথম মামলার এজাহার সূত্রে জানা যায়, আসামি মো. আলতাব হোসেনের দুদকে দাখিল করা সম্পদ বিবরণীতে ১ কোটি ১৭ লাখ ৪৯ হাজার ২৮৩ টাকার সম্পদ (স্থাবর ও অস্থাবর) গোপন করে মিথ্যা ও ভিত্তিহীন তথ্য প্রদান করেছেন। অন্যদিকে, দুদকের অনুসন্ধানে তার বিরুদ্ধে জ্ঞাত আয়ের উৎসের সঙ্গে অসংগতিপূর্ণ ১ কোটি ১৪ লাখ ৭২ হাজার ৯৩ টাকার সম্পদ অর্জনের প্রমাণ পাওয়া গেছে।
অন্যদিকে দ্বিতীয় মামলায় তার স্ত্রী মোছা. জিয়াসমীন আরাকে প্রধান আসামি ও তার স্বামী আলতাব হোসেনকে সহযোগী আসামি করা হয়েছে। বিবরণে দেখা যায়, জিয়াসমীন তার দাখিল করা সম্পদ বিবরণীতে ১ কোটি ৬৬ লাখ ৬৪ হাজার ৯৯৯ টাকার সম্পদের মিথ্যা ও ভিত্তিহীন তথ্য প্রদান করেছেন। আর দুদকের অনুসন্ধানে তার নামে ২ কোটি ৪২ লাখ ২ হাজার ২৫১ টাকার অবৈধ সম্পদের প্রমাণ পাওয়া গেছে। গৃহিনী হিসেবে এত সম্পদ করা অসংগতিপূর্ণ। প্রকৃত অর্থে এসব সম্পদ তার স্বামী মো. আলতাব হোসেনের দুর্নীতির টাকায় গড়েছেন। সে কারণে তাকে সহযোগী আসামি করা হয়েছে এ মামলায়। তাদের বিরুদ্ধে দুদক আইন, ২০০৪ এর ২৬(২) ও ২৭(১) ধারায় অভিযোগ আনা হয়েছে।
